Product Details

Industrial Spiral Fish Bleeding & Chilling Tank — Continuous Processing for Quality-Driven Seafood Lines

The LEKON Spiral Chilling & Bleeding Tank is an industrial continuous-processing system designed to bleed out and chill fish immediately after stunning — the critical first step in any quality-focused processing line. Using a controlled spiral flow with adjustable dwell time and water temperature, the tank ensures every fish receives uniform treatment, whether you process 500 kg or 5,000 kg per hour.

Constructed entirely from SUS304 stainless steel with hygienic welds and sloped surfaces, the tank meets HACCP standards for food processing environments. The spiral design maximizes tank volume utilization (up to 40% fish density) while maintaining consistent water circulation — no dead zones, no temperature stratification.

Key Features

  • Continuous spiral flow design — Fish enter at the outer spiral and travel inward in a controlled path, ensuring First-In-First-Out (FIFO) treatment. Every fish spends the same time in the tank.

  • Adjustable dwell time — VFD-controlled paddle speed allows bleeding/chilling time to be set from 15 to 60 minutes depending on fish species and size

  • Precise temperature control — Integrated water chiller connection maintains water at 0-4°C. Temperature sensors with digital display for real-time monitoring

  • Uniform water circulation — Pump-driven circulation prevents thermal layering and ensures consistent chilling across the entire tank volume

  • Gentle fish handling — Slow-rotating spiral paddles guide fish without crushing, bruising, or scale damage — preserves premium fish quality

  • SUS304 stainless steel construction — 3.0mm thick food-grade stainless, fully welded, corrosion-resistant, designed for daily high-pressure washdown

  • Insulated tank walls — 50mm polyurethane insulation minimizes thermal loss, reduces ice consumption, and maintains stable water temperature

  • Easy-drain sloped bottom — Angled tank floor with large-diameter drain valve for complete emptying and rapid CIP (Clean-In-Place)

  • Integrated water filtration — Removable stainless steel filter screen captures blood, loose scales, and debris, extending water life and reducing changeover frequency

  • Modular line integration — Standard inlet/outlet heights match LEKON fish stunners upstream and filleting/grading stations downstream for seamless processing flow

Benefits for Fish Quality

  • Complete bleeding — whiter fillets, no blood spots, extended shelf life

  • Rapid core temperature drop — slower bacterial growth, firmer flesh texture

  • Reduced pre-rigor stress — better water-holding capacity, higher processing yield

  • Consistent batch treatment — every fish meets the same quality standard, no variation

Applications

  • Salmon and trout processing (fresh and frozen lines)

  • Tilapia and pangasius (basa) processing

  • Sea bass and sea bream aquaculture

  • Can be configured as a buffer tank between stunning and gutting/filleting stations
